UB’s all-time leading scorer Kourtney Brown will head overseas this August after signing a professional contract to play for Femenino Cáceres.
"I look forward to improving my game and bringing all the things I learned at UB to professional basketball overseas. UB has done so much to mold me as basketball player and I can’t wait to start the season off in Spain." -- Kourtney Brown
Brown, who was named the 2011 MAC Player of the Year, led the conference in scoring, rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots. She is the only player in the country in the top 10 nationally in those categories as she finished the season eighth in scoring, fifth in rebounding and blocked shots and sixth in field goal percentage.
Brown finished her career as UB’s all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker. She had 1,995 points, 1,124 rebounds and 260 blocks, which broke the Mid-American Conference record. She also finished second all-time in the MAC in rebounding and is amongst the top 15 scorers in league history despite never attempting a three pointer.
