The Buffalo Bulls have scheduled a game at Penn State in 2015, the Mid-American Conference school announced today. This will be their second trip of the modern era, the first was a deceptively competitive 45-24 decision at Beaver Stadium in 2007.

The game is scheduled for September 12, 2015. This is the second scheduled non-conference game UB has set for the 2015 season. The Bulls are also slated to play Boston College (Location is still up in the air).

"We are extremely excited for our fans, alumni base and our football program to have another opportunity to play on the kind of stage that Beaver Stadium and Penn State present.  Playing before more than 100,000 fans is an experience that any student-athlete looks forward to and we expect to go and compete with great effort as we did in our first visit to Beaver Stadium." -- Warde Manuel

UB now has some of its non conference games set going out to 2020, many of them are home and home games with Army but they also include home games against Pitt, Connecticut, and Boston College.

15 of Buffalo's 40 non conference foes are set, but just five home games are among them. With the exception of the 5 games with Army all but two of the scheduled games against teams in BCS conferences.

The Big name games are pay for plays rather then reciprocal deals. Georgia, Tennessee, and Penn state will all bring big checks into the university

Besides the 2007 game you have to go bake 111 years to the only other time UB played Penn State. The Bulls defeated Penn State, 10-0 in the early years of UB's athletics history.

"We are extremely excited to showcase our football program in such a tremendous atmosphere against one of the country's most successful football programs. It's also a game played in an area that we target for recruiting and a unique opportunity to play in that venue for the young men on our team from Pennsylvania." - UB head football coach Jeff Quinn
