It's ok to enjoy their win and still hate the Bob Cats:
Bowl season is nice because you get to root for those teams you otherwise loath. Buffalo fans loath few schools more than Temple or Ohio who played back to back Bowl games on Saturday to open the season.
Ohio and the Lost Potato
The Boise / Holiday / Potato bowl has given the MAC heart breaking losses (Bowling Green Loss in 2009), Cakewalk wins (Northern Illinois 2010), and now a thriller in which the Bob Cats got off the all time bowl game schnide.
Ohio Vs. Utah State Final Score, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl 2011: MAC'd Potatoes - SBNation.com
In accordance with every other Ohio Bobcats game and every other Utah State Aggies game, the inaugural Famous Idaho Potato Bowl came down to the closing minutes. A clutch drive, some goal line creativity and some confounding officiating conspired to give the Bobcats the first bowl win in program history.
LaVon Brazill Closes His Collegiate Career In Style - Hustle Belt
LaVon Brazill is one of the best receivers in college football and despite not playing the position until his senior year in high school, he has quickly made the jump from fringe college recruit to legitimate NFL prospect. Brazill did a heck of a job to close out his college career in style with two game-saving catches and it was nice to see him do well in his final game as a Bobcat. But rest assured that won't be the last time you see Brazill on the gridiron, because he'll be playing on Sundays very, very soon.
Utah State is a quality foe losing three of their games by the thinnest of margins to teams like Auburn and BYU.
Temple is one conference win away from a great five years. They now win, they have been to bowl games and they have knocked one away. If not for the fact that Solich owns the Owls they might even have a conference title.
New Mexico Bowl 2011 Final Score: Temple Wins First Bowl Since 1979 - SBNation.com
The Temple Owls remain on the rise, posting their second nine-win season in three years, their first bowl victory in 32 and their third four-loss campaign in a row. The latest Owls glory comes at the expense of the Wyoming Cowboys, who lose the 2011 New Mexico Bowl, 37-15, with the latter score coming in garbage time.

Buffalo Hoops
Tsuj’s Ten: College basketball, 12/16 - Blog - Buffalo.com
How will they handle their two biggest non-conference tests? Unfortunately, they’re not close to home—at BYU (Dec. 20) and at Temple (Dec. 28)—and the two opponents are a combined 14-4 overall. The Bulls have won their last two road contests—against Niagara and Dayton—but they’re liable to be rusty due to long lay-offs and nervous facing hostile opposing crowds. Even the Bulls can split, consider it a success.
USATODAY.com : Jeff Sagarin NCAA basketball ratings
The MAC has climbed to 13 which is not earth shattering for the conference but it is, hopefully, a sign that the past several years of mediocre out of conference results has ended.
