Quarterback: D-
One of his better throwing games of the year but those two fumbles (and I do think that first one was a fumble) ended the game. You can hang one of the picks on him it went right through a receivers hands. Jerry goes into the spring sitting, at best, in the second chair.
Half Backs: C
Passable game by the half backs nothing earth shattering but we managed two backs with more carries and yards than the QB. Ike Never got off the ground this season but we all know what he is capable of doing. That depth will take a hit with him and Thermilus departing.
Wide Receivers (Except Neutz and Gordon): F
Too many drops killed drives. For once this season Davis was doing a better jobs that most of the UB wideouts. It looked like 2008 all over again.
Wide Receivers (Only Neutz and Gordon): A
Neutz is a beast I cant believe this guy is only a freshman:
With the offense being as putrid as it was all year round you could usually count on Neutz if you got the ball anywhere near him. He was also the most consistent of a group that was overall very good.
Offensive Line: D
Akron was all over Davis during that last series, the most important of the game. This demonstrated that, once again, if a defense pins its ears back in a pressure situation that UB's quarterbacks wont have any time. All the defensive secondary need do is play a tight man and a five or six man rush will flush Davis out of the pocket where most of his bad decision happen.
Defensive Line: B-
Can't say enough about this unit. For years the Bulls have looked to the backs to bail out a poor pass rush. This Unit needs to stop up next year. They perform week in and week out pretty well but they just gave up more than 100 yards to a single back in their second straight game.
Line Backers: B
Boy are we going to miss Josh Thomas next season he thrived in the 3-4 this year and was a huge par of the success of Coach Inge's defense in just its firs season. Looking to the youth on the line having Mack as just a freshman is very promising for years to come.
Against Akron they were average against the run but they were a huge part of the pass rush.
Defensive Backs: C+
I said in the game thread, If you play aggressive corners you're going to get burned every once and a while. I prefer that to Turner Gills "Death by a thousand Cuts" defense of 2009. One of the plays was more blown coverage than scheme.
Next season this is going to be a very green corps of players.
Special Teams: F
Changed the course of the game... In a UB Special Teams kind of way
