This Weekend in Bull: Rowing, Swimming and Diving joins the fun

Matt Gritzmacher

It's not quite as busy a weekend as we've seen in September, but we're into October for real now, and with two more teams getting their year started, there are Bulls all over the country.

I've over the last week previewed the Swimming and Diving team in bits, and this weekend they're split in two, with a group in Florida for the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational, and the rest remaining in Buffalo for their own Western New York Invite. Between the two, I'm hopeful we'll get plenty of times from everybody.

Meanwhile, Rowing is also starting their year with a simple home competition against Canisius, and Men's and Women's Cross Country ramp up their big October with the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh.

The highlight of the weekend - and whole week, really - is Men's Tennis in Tulsa for the ITA All-American Championships. The fall season is more individual-oriented than the team competitions of the spring, and Nails Nickell has three Bulls in this tournament of massive draws.

Should any Men's Tennis Bulls advance to the Main Draw, their time in Tulsa will last beyond the weekend.

For now, stay tuned hopefully for Cross Country results before tea time and Women's Soccer before dinner.
