Nate Oats said yesterday that if he and UB could come to terms before the season was over that he would not want to talk to anyone else.
Mark Alnutt, we love you! On a day when everyone in the Blue and White looked good, you are still the GOAT.
UB and Oats have agreed to a new five-year contract through the 2024 season. The new contract makes Oats the highest paid coach in the Mid-American Conference with an annual salary of $837,000 which includes a base salary of $612,000 and $225,000 to be raised through philanthropic gifts designated to the men’s basketball program.
(That’s the basketball excellence fund)
Oats has a 92-42 career record at UB, and has the greatest winning percentage of any UB coach. And he did it in just four seasons.
