UB’s offense started out a little slow but their defense was on lock down the entire game. Eventually the shooters warmed up and the Bulls pulled away from Akron.
The Zips, frustrated by UB’s defense, got very physical on their end and ended up finding themselves in big foul trouble early on.
By the time the first half was 10 minutes old UB led by 20 and Akron had two players with four fouls.
For the Zips it only got worse from there.
The big dog tonight was Jeremy Harris. The senior scored 23 points for Buffalo and chipped in 8 rebounds, three blocks, and three assists.
Oats stressed after the game that UB not only needs to win out in Cleveland for seeding but to win game big, I think a 36 point win counts.
The Bulls will face the winner of the Central Michigan vs Kent game which is about to tip off.
