The Bulls opened up the series strong but dropped the next two as the Skyhawks of Tennessee Martin took the season opening series from the Bulls, two games to one.
Game 1 - UB 10, UTM 2
One fourth inning swing of Ben Haefner’s bat drove in three runs, broke the game open, and gave UB all the offense they would need in a 10-2 victory over the Skyhawks of UT Martin.

Kyle Brennan opened the fourth with a walk, but would get picked off on a failed bunt attempt by Brian Dudek. A single by Edwards, and two out walk by thrower brought in Haefner. His double down the right field line scored Thrower, Edwards, and Dudek.
Heafner and Mallaro would score runs in the following at bats, giving the Bulls a 5-0 lead.
Alec Tuohy got the start and pitched five scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and striking out 5. He was relieved by freshman Greg Dunham who threw 1.1 innings and Ben Vey who closed out the game.
Game 2 - UTM 14, UB 0
The Bulls bats were silent and the Skyhawks made light work of the Buffalo pitchers during a 14-0 drubbing.

Twice in the first three innings the Bulls put men in scoring position with fewer than two outs and each time the UT-Martin pitching staff got out of a bind.
Then, in the bottom of the third the Skyhawks unloaded on UB starter Charlie Sobieraski. The Skyhawks opened with a single and two walks before hanging five runs on UB.
UB only managed six hits on the day and committed half as many errors.
Game 2 - UTM 4, UB 3
The Bulls had control of the bumper game right up until the Bottom of the ninth. That’s when Logan Harasta walked the bases loaded with two outs but a fielding error allowed the game winning run to cross the plate.

Buffalo had taken a 3-2 lead in the top of the fifth, when Kyle Brennan opened the inning with a single, he was scored by a Brian Wasilewski double. Brian Dudek singled to left, and would advance to second on a wild pitch.
With Dudek on second and Wasilewski on third, Alex Thrower hit s single which scored the pair.
Buffalo’s back in action this weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) at Murray State.
