The Bulls opened up the series strong but dropped the next two as the Skyhawks of Tennessee Martin took the season opening series from the Bulls, two games to one.

Game 1 - UB 10, UTM 2

One fourth inning swing of Ben Haefner’s bat drove in three runs, broke the game open, and gave UB all the offense they would need in a 10-2 victory over the Skyhawks of UT Martin.

Heafner and Mallaro would score runs in the following at bats, giving the Bulls a 5-0 lead.

Alec Tuohy got the start and pitched five scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and striking out 5. He was relieved by freshman Greg Dunham who threw 1.1 innings and Ben Vey who closed out the game.

Game 2 - UTM 14, UB 0

The Bulls bats were silent and the Skyhawks made light work of the Buffalo pitchers during a 14-0 drubbing.
