UB Softball's Courtney Gilbert hits .700 in MVP performance at Ontario U-21 Championships

"Gilbert, who spent the past year in the NCAA with the University at Buffalo Bulls, was on fire as Brantford went unbeaten through six games. An outrageous batting average of .700 garnered not only the tournament's top batter award but most valuable player honours as well.

"I was really excited because I had a little bit of a tough year at school at the plate so to come back this summer and be able to swing the bat and feel comfortable again was awesome," she said."
