Florida Atlantic Owls vs Buffalo Bulls football first half recap
This isn't a bad game to be missing. UB trails 9-7 at the half, and is ridiculously lucky to be within three scores, let alone one.
From the outset, UB on offense has looked sluggish, bland, and out of sync. The first play featured nice misdirection and short toss to Marcus McGill that went for 28 yards, but since then Buffalo's struggled to get first downs and has seen two awful decisions from Licata - and intentional grounding call and an interception - that led to all nine FAU points.
The defense has not been stellar, but they've done enough, getting two fourth-down stops with the Owls on the edge of field goal range and a pair of turnovers; one a goal-line interception from Ryan Williamson and the other a fumble recovery from Travis Pitzonka that went 60 yards to the house to cut into the FAU lead.
UB gets the ball out of the break.
