Khalil Mack Named to the Lombardi award list

Khalil Mack was named yet another national award watch list today, bringing his total to two for the day and four for year. This time it was the Rotary Lombardi Award, given to the nation’s top lineman or linebacker. Mack will have a lot of eyes on him when UB opens their season at Ohio State.

Mack is also on the 2013 watch lists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, The Butkus Award, and the Chuck Bednarik Award.

It is the second straight season UB defensive star begins the season on the Lombardi Award watch list.

Mack is one of six players from the Mid-American Conference on the Lombardi watch list. He joins Dominic Flewellyn and Gabe Martin of Bowling Green, Zac Kerin from Toledo, Ball State’s Jonathan Newsome and Roosevelt Nix of Kent State.
