Editorial Note: Some more details on Marquel's 40 time came out and I have made a few edits.
Marquel Dickerson, a North Point running back and a consensus second team all Maryland prep player has given a verbal commitment to play football for the Buffalo Bulls.
A strong Junior season helped Marqul pile up 1,130 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns in eight games. Based on that the half back got spring offers from Buffalo and Toledo. During his senior season Dickerson carried the ball 201 times for 1759 yards finding the end zone 26 times.
One of the things which may have kept him off a of some radars was a 4.71 40 time which was picked up by ESPN. That 40 time was apparently run a long time ago but is still listed by ESPN. More recently he is posting far better times.
He and had an overall SPARQ rating of 76.77, which is in about the 50th percentile of prep players listed by ESPN.
The Buffalo Bulls are now up to 19 recruits and Dickerson is the schools first pure running back. He will be joining a stable of backs all trying to replace UB's outgoing star Branden Oliver.
