January 17, 1952 - Les Molnar becomes first UB player ever drafted.
There had been 16 NFL drafts before 1952, and UB never had a player selected. In 1952, Tackle Les Molnar would go down in history as the first Buffalo football player drafted. Molnar was selected in the 18th round, pick 206 overall to the New York Yanks. Shortly after, the Yanks were moved to Dallas, and Molnar would start his career during the inaugural season of the Dallas Texans.
