MAC Blogger Pick'em week 8

Moving into the second half of the season MAC Blogger Pick'em is now in full conference mode. So far FireUpChips and The MAC Daily lead the pack but with six MAC games a week and ten blogs withing three games of first its still anyones game.

The game of the week is Miami at Ohio, whoever wins this game controls their own destiny in the East. The RedHawks are riding high after knocking down the chips and the Bobcats are finally getting their footing. The winner will end up vying with Temple for the east division.

Over in the west the torch might officially pass from the Chips to Huskies this week. Clearly CMU is rebuilding and NIU is surging. While an NIU win wont be earth shattering it may put a fork in Central Michigan's bowl streak.

The only out of conference game this week is Eastern Michigan at Virgina, can the Eagles start their first winning streak since September of 2007, and their first winning streak versus FBS schools since early 2005?

Team Notes:

Poochie: Not surprisingly the RedHawks are this weeks prized pooch. Seven out of 12 bloggers have Miami taking a firm lead in the East after this week despite the fact they are five point underdogs.

Road Warriors: As usual this award goes to anyone who gets to play Akron on the road. This week it's WMU who is picked across the board

Home Boyz: After losing to EMU and having to go on the road does the fact that Ball State's foe gets the honor of being this weeks home boy?

Blogger Notes:

Kennel Club Member: Fire Up Chips, with three dogs Kent, Miami, and Buffalo

Dog Hater: The MAC Daily picks no dogs this week

Dare Devil: Fire Up Chips and Temple Football Forever for taking Buffalo.
