Spring tryouts with the Milwaukee Bucks did not land Blake Hamilton a job in the NBA but the UB Alumnus landed a pro contract playing over in Europe.
Hamilton has signed on to play for BK Ventpils in Latvia. The club competes in the Latvian Basketball League, the Baltic Basketball League, and the Champions League.
This past season Hamilton was named second-team All-MAC and led the Bulls in scoring and assists with 17.5 points per game and had a total of 141 assists.
In 2013, BK Ventspils became the first Latvian club to have won the Baltic Basketball League. In 2014 They won their first Latvian league title since 2009 becoming champions of 2014 Latvian Basketball League campaign.
