Trailing 3-1 with three matches still to be decided, the University at Buffalo men’s tennis made a furious run to clinch the final matches and move into Saturday’s Mid-American Conference Championship match with a 4-3 win over Ball State. The Bulls (11-9) will meet the winner of the Northern Illinois-Western Michigan match in the conference final with the NCAA’s automatic berth on the line. -- UB Athletics

The Bulls only conference loss came to Ball State so getting past the Cards, especially down 3-1, is huge. Two years ago the Men won the regular season title only to fall to WMU in the MAC tournament. This season they only beat out NIU for the regular season title by tie breaker.
