If close losses to Northern Illinois and Ball State sandwiching a big upset of Ohio were reason for hope. UB Women's Basketball's latest loss to Toledo looks more like the stretch prior.
But the Bulls have a chance to get back on the right foot this afternoon on the road at Bowling Green, who sit just above Buffalo at 4-7 in the MAC.
The Falcons have lost three in a row themselves, to Toledo, Western, and Central Michigan, falling only to the Chippewas on a buzzer beater themselves. They did have a three-game win streak prior to that and like the Bulls prefer to keep the final scores lower. Offensive efficiency will be key in this one.
Statistically, watch for the inside-out combo of Lauren Tibbs and Sydney Lambert, who combine for 21 points a game, the former shooting 59% from inside and the latter 45% from beyond the arc. Tibbs is the only player averaging more than five rebounds a game for the Falcons, who manage to keep most everything tight with their opponents thanks to their slower pace and deep lineup - eight players have more than four points a game and six more than three rebounds a contest.
Tip is at 4:00.
