UB Career
Nominally, Ups started last season as UB's point guard, but shifted into a different role quickly while still seeing regular time as a freshman. In eight minutes a night, she didn't do much on the statsheet but was a reliable defender for a few minutes at a time and was most notable judicious with her shot.

2015-16 Outlook
Coach Jack has in her usual style been overt in her praise for Ups in the offseason. The sophomore is a team captain and clearly has earned greater trust in the coaching staff. One of the few players in 2014-15 who didn't hoist shots up with abandon, Liisa has shown some touch from outside, hitting a pair of threes in each exhibition. If she can maintain her 8 points and 4.5 rebounds from these two contests throughout the season, she'll play a valuable role for a team in need of secondary scoring options.
