This Weekend in Bull: UB hits the road

Matt Gritzmacher

It doesn't necessarily feel like a busy weekend with Olympic Sports, especially with growing attention on the basketball teams, but there's plenty of action (almost all away from Buffalo) to follow this weekend.

Women's Soccer has the highest stakes this weekend, with their chances for a home quarterfinal game on the line in a pair of road matches at Miami and Ball State. Men's Soccer is in better shape, but would do well to get a result from their road match at Northern Illinois.

The headliners are Men's and Women's Tennis, competing in the signature event of the fall season at ITA Regionals, hosted for the women by Dartmouth and for the men by Yale. They're already underway as I write this, and I may have a Friday recap piece up fairly quickly.

Volleyball is also on the road and despite a 2-6 MAC record could be in the running for a postseason berth with a win or two at Eastern and Central Michigan. Swimming and Diving is the lone program at home, hosting Ball State and McMaster tomorrow.
