Buffalo Bulls Pro Day - Okoye Houston

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

The ironman, Okoye Houston was a hard hitting safety who played in every game of his career at Buffalo.

Following in the shadow of Davonte Shannon, Houston struggled in his first two years and faced competition for his spot in the UB secondary. Houston responded by increasing his physicality, culminating with his senior year where he had 2 QB sacks, made 5 more tackles behind the line of scrimmage and returned a fumble for a touchdown.

At 6'0 209, the safety from South Carolina is ranked as the #72 safety in college, and is not likely to get drafted, however UB has a great track record in placing defensive backs into NFL training camps. If Houston puts up good numbers at pro day, he can turn a few heads.

I look for Houston to get a look in Dallas, the Cowboys struggle against the run, and face RG3 and Shady McCoy twice a year, so they may be looking for a cheap situational run stopper in the secondary.
