Sacred Heart Pioneers vs. Duquesne Dukes - Recap - October 18, 2014 - ESPN
Up 20-14 with 3:03 to play, Duquense's defense made a goal-line stand on their own 5 and seemed to have the game won, but Sacred Heart (6-1, 2-0 Northeast) forced a safety four plays later to make it 20-16, then Noel hit Dube with the game-winner on the Pioneers' next possession.

Army Kent 39 - Army 17 2-5 FBS IND - Bye

Army's Road Woes Continue in 39-17 loss to Kent State - Underdog Dynasty
It has been over four years since Army has defeated an opponent on the road. Hopes were high when they entered Dixon Stadium this Saturday to face the winless Golden Flashes. And then Colin Reardon happened. Reardon had a career day against the shaky Army defense as he threw for 360 yards and 3 touchdowns and recorded another score on the ground.

Baylor WVU 41 - Baylor 27 6-1 B12 3-1 Bye

Undefeated No More -- Baylor's Playoff Push Falls Apart in Morgantown 41-27 - Our Daily Bears
One week after the biggest comeback win in program history kept the possibility of an undefeated season alive, Baylor's hopes came crashing down at the hands of an upset-minded Mountaineer team that got a lot of help from the refs, constantly stifled Baylor's high-powered offense, and then salted the game away in the fourth quarter while the Bears fell apart.

Miami NIU 51 - Miami 41 1-7 MAC 1-3 vs Kent

Northern Illinois Huskies vs. Miami RedHawks Final Score: NIU Escapes 51-41 - Hustle Belt
After trailing early, Miami attempted a second half comeback, cutting what was a 23-point deficit late in the second quarter to just 9, but the Huskies offense would prove to be too much. Andrew Hendrix, the Miami QB, was 23 of 42 for 346 yards and had five total touchdowns (two passing and three rushing), including this nice 24-yard pass to Rokeem Williams.

BGSU WMU 27 - BSGU 14 5-3 MAC 3-1 Bye

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Sadness Accrues: Defeat at the Doyt
Make no mistake. The defense played more than well enough to win. They have been improving and they had DJ Lynch back on the field and he seemed to make some plays and BG's defense held them off as long as could be expected. They got almost no support from the offense today, and this loss is on the offense.

EMU UMass 36 - EMU 14 2-6 MAC 2-2 vs NIU

EMU at Massachusetts open thread - Eagle Totem Eagle Totem
As bad as both EMU and Massachusetts have been over the last several years, both teams won their games last week, which means that not only is someone going to win this game, but someone is actually going to have a winning streak. Not only have the Minutemen not won back-to-back games since they moved to FBS, they haven’t won more than one game a season in that span, with their last winning streak coming in October 2011. The Eagles have won multiple games in each recent season, but their last back-to-back wins were also in October 2011. For this game, Massachusetts is a 14-point favorite, with the over set at 63, suggesting that Las Vegas expects about a 39-25 win for the Minutemen.

CMU Ball State 32 - CMU 19 4-4 MAC 2-2 at Buffalo

Ball State Cardinals vs. Central Michigan Chippewas Final Score: BSU Triumphs, 32-29 - Hustle Belt
Statistically, the flash goes to the Chips. Thomas Rawls shredded Ball State for 167 yards on 32 carries. Rawls did commit two costly turnovers though, fumbling twice. Wide receiver Titus Davis also put up big numbers. The future NFLer caught 10 passes for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Ohio Ohio 23 - Akron 20 4-4 MAC 2-2 at WMU

Ohio Bobcats vs. Akron Zips Football Final: Ohio Squeaks By, Wins 23-20 - Hustle Belt
The Ohio Bobcats defeated the Akron Zips in a sloppy 23-20 game at Peden Stadium. The two teams showed their struggles throughout the game, which included five turnovers, 21 penalties, and 203 penalty yards. Akron quarterback Tommy Woodson made his first career start in place of the injured Kyle Pohl. J.D. Sprague made another start for Ohio after replacing injured quarterback Derrius Vick earlier in the season.

Akron Ohio 23 - Akron 20 4-3 MAC 2-1 at Ball State

Akron Zips vs. Ohio Bobcats - Recap - October 18, 2014 - ESPN
