The College football season is well underway, and even a good portion of the MAC has already started their year. But the only thing that really matters kicks off this Saturday at 3:30 when the State University of New York at Buffalo Bulls take on the Albany Great Danes in Amherst, New York.
It will be the first time the schools have played since each was a Division III program back in the late Eighties. Since that time both have moved up to Division I. The Bulls, as members of the Mid American Conference, are the only FBS team in the New York State University system but Albany is a member of the FCS Colonial Athletic Association.
Buffalo comes in as a 13.5 point favorite, according to SportsChatPlace. The Bulls return most of their offense and new coach Lance Leipold hopes to get his 110th career win.
