#47 UB Football Game

October 27, 2007 - UB 26, Akron 10

After a 1-4 start, UB was 2-1 in their last 3. UB had never beaten Akron, but with the win, they would clinch the best season in UB's FBS history. After conceding 80-yards and a touchdown on Akron's opening drive, the defense forced 3 fumbles, recovering 1, and caught two interceptions while holding Akron to 3 points for the remainder of the game.

Drew Willy had an efficient 11-for-14 day with TD passes to Naaman Roosevelt, Chris Scharon and Ernest Jackson. Starks ran 24 times for 91 yards and AJ Principe kicked 2 field goals while Davonte Shannon had 13 tackles, Mike Newton and Josh Copeland had interceptions and Ronald Hilaire forced a fumble recovered by Kareem Byrom. The defense held Akron to 69 yards in their first six-drives of the 2nd half to help UB ease to 4-1 in the MAC.
