After an outstanding 99-94 victory over now unranked West Virginia, Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball is ranked No. 25 in this week’s AP Poll. This marks the first time UB receives a national ranking in the poll.
The Bulls began the season with an 82-67 win over St. Francis (PA) before heading to Morgantown to play upset. The most dumbfounding part of all this is that UB didn’t play that great in either game, which certainly makes the Bulls look scary good.
Sitting at 2-0, Buffalo has a ton of potential to climb even higher in the poll with matchups against No. 15 Syracuse and No. 24 Marquette. A win on Monday against Southern Illinois, a favorite to win the Missouri Valley Conference and who garners an AP vote, could also add padding to UB’s resume.
