Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball Schedule Released

Highlighted by matchups against Creighton and Pitt, and a trip to Alaska, UB’s full schedule is out

The roadmap to a third straight MAC Championship unfolded across the dashboard today as UB released the Men’s Basketball schedule for 2016-17.

Many of the games were already on our radar thanks to other schools’ releases: an exhibition versus Daemen, games against the ACC's Pittsburgh, and Creighton of the Big East, a trip to Alaska for a tournament.

That's not including Xavier, games against Canisius, Robert Morris, and D-III Nazareth, and the return of the Big 4 Classic. It's a tougher top-to-bottom schedule than in years past, but without the elites like Duke, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Iowa State of the last two seasons.

This morning, the MAC released the conference schedule, and we've got dates and times for the whole season.

Highlights come first and foremost with another Senior Day game against Bowling Green - the Bulls sure do love playing the Falcons on Senior Day.

Before that, though, the Bulls open MAC play with a pair of road games at Toledo and Eastern Michigan, playing five of their first eight on the road. A late-January swing at Akron and hosting Central Michigan could be critical for ultimate tiebreakers, and the season ends with four home games in two weeks, the Bulls only traveling to Athens for the Bobcats in their final stretch. If UB's playing the type of ball they've played the last two seasons, Alumni Arena is going to be a terrible place to play for opponents in that homestretch.
