Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball: Blake Hamilton’s Hand has healed

NCAA Basketball: MAC Conference Tournament-Akron vs Buffalo Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Big news today for Buffalo Bulls Men’s Basketball. Blake Hamilton’s hand has healed and he’s expected to get back out on the court soon. Hamilton went to twitter today to announce the news:

Less than a month ago news broke that Hamilton had broken a bone in his non-shooting hand and would miss all action until at least UB’s game versus #7 Xavier. Considering that was the bare minimum, the news is even better considering he won’t miss the Great Alaska Shootout—a tournament that will really help UB’s at-large resume should they win it.

Hamilton came to UB last season as an impact JUCO transfer in year one of head coach Nate Oats’ tenure. His 13.1 points per game were good for second on the the team while he also averaged 7.1 rebounds. Hamilton is also the hero of last year’s championship squad after sending in the game winning shot in the MAC Championship game.

When we get more information on when exactly he’ll start playing again we’ll update this article.
