Another day, another JUCO guy we don't know much about, but Bull Run editor Robby Johnson is high on junior Willie Conner.
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Height and Weight: 6-5, 200
It's between Conner and Nikola Rakicevic for the best shooter among the new guys this year. Willie hit 100 triples in a single season his senior year of high school and shot 43% from beyond the arc at Odessa CC. Like David Kadiri, he made his way to the JUCO level after a year at D-I, when he played in 27 games with Florida A&M.

Everyone seems to be high on Conner in the preseason right now, and it looks like it will be between he and freshman Rakicevic for the sixth man. No matter what, Willie should step right in for some important minutes and to help disperse the scoring load this season. In one of the above linked articles, Conner speaks of "getting my confidence back" after Florida A&M went through some tumult during his freshman season, and Buffalo may have found a gem here.
