We don't really know what we have in Diane after he missed the second semester last season for academic reasons. He was highly regarded out of high school and looked in line for some minutes as the ninth man in the rotation last year before his season ended.
The Basics
Number: 5
Year: Sophomore
Position: Guard
Hometown: Detroit, MI
Height and Weight: 6-3, 175
New Guy?
No, but as I said, we don't know much about what he brings.
UB Career
I'm actually a little surprised to see that Diane appeared in only four games last season, but he did play almost 8 minutes a contest when he got in, averaging a little more than a point and a rebound. He saw the most action in UB's injury-riddled contest against St. Bonaventure, scoring five points.

2015-16 Outlook
I think if Diane had remained eligible the whole of last season we'd see him now as an able fill-in to keep Jarryn Skeete's legs fresh. Now, I'm more inclined to look to Blake Hamilton in that role, and Diane could be pressed by the hard-working Nikola Rakicevic, as well.
It's hard to make much of a prediction here, especially since we don't know how deep Nate Oats plans to run his bench. I could see Diane fitting in anywhere from roughly ninth in the rotation and regular handful of minutes to appearing only in blowouts and foul-heavy games.
