Buffalo Recruiting Roundup

Week 2 Recruiting Update

Week 2 is here and it comes with a big game that could be instrumental in the staffs recruiting. A good performance over a P5 school can let recruits know there is no drop from the Leipold era to the Linguist era.

It has been a pretty quiet week as far as offers go, nothing new happened for the class of 22 in terms of UB offers. There were a few key targets that did receive offers from other teams. JUCO OL target Isaiah Adams was offers by Hawaii, JUCO DB Stephen Hall was offered by Charlotte and Toledo, and JUCO DB Keylon Kennedy was offered by UNLV and Toledo. I dont see any of these players as close to committing and would expect all 3 to visit Buffalo after the season is over. Another change you will see in the recruiting board is 2022 commit Devin Grant has been shifted over to DB, he was recruited as an ATH but appears he will be playing Safety and not WR.

2023 recruiting remained relatively quiet as well this week. A new offer was exteneded to 2023 DB TayShawn Wilson from Houston, TX. He has a pretty impressive offer list with Texas and Baylor. I am going to try and catch up with him and see if Buffalo is truly in the running. Additionally I chatted with 2023 QB Recruit Braylen Ragland, he still appears interested in UB and wants to come up for a visit. He plans on committing sometime before his senior season but that is as specific as he got. Lastly 2023 DB recruit Tristen Sion received an offer from Ole Miss this week and DB recruit John Slaughter is visiting Alabama this weekend for their game against Mercer. Hopefully UB can stay on both of their lists.
