After a few finishing touches in the last weeks, like pads up on walls, the field house is finally operational and spring ball practices are kicking off.
The football team can now stop taking the bus to Orchard park and instead use their own 92,000 square foot practice facility.
This will also benefit other teams as the rubber track surface for sprint practice, long/triple jump and pole vault pits, and Four motorized suspended softball hitting tunnels can help the other teams in the department train and compete.
It took a long time and a lot of work to get this done. Past directors Warde Manuel and Danny White laid a lot of the groundwork down, Allen Greene pulled the trigger, and now Mark Alnutt brought it home across the finish line.
