Midseason Burned Redshirt Report

As a community, we sometimes joke about the term Burned. Regardless of whether or not we as individuals think one should have been used, or saved for later, I wanted to track how many Freshman football student athletes are actually being played. Here is the summary from the first 6 games. It is primarily sorted on games played, and secondarily on grade.

Of course I'm interested to see how this compares with the rest of the MAC. Well, one day maybe, but first I wanted to understand how this compares with years prior. Here is what I found on the team site for the past few years.

I plan to repeat this effort at then end of the season. At that time, I might also try to show how much these players participated in the following year. It's doubtful, but with luck, we might see a benefit of playing right away, or spending time on the sidelines during the first year.

What stands out to you?
