Game Week Rutgers

NCAA Football: Rutgers at Kansas Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

First, I love that Rutgers puts their state name in the logo... Maybe we should consider that ;)

So anyway... Before anyone gets cocky regrading UB being favorites on the road to a B1G team consider the following.

After week 2 Temple was reeling, in a free fall, and heading to play a Maryland team that had a lot of confidence because of their big wins. And in the end, Temple destroyed Maryland.

Rutgers is better than their record indicats and certainly better than they played last week against Kansas. They were expected to have a decent bounce back this year, certainly not a B1G power, but they were looking to be a 5 win team, maybe to scrape by six wins which gets them to a bowl.

Nobody saw them losing to Kansas, because the team has the talent to win 6 games this year.

Yes, yes it could.... Maybe it’s just the old(ish) cynical Buffalo fan of <Insert Buffalo Sport> talking, but being favorites on the road, when everything is going right, puts me on high alert.

If the Bulls win they will be 4-0 for the first time since 1981, quite a turn from where this program seemed to be two seasons ago.
