NIU 4 3 With a win over one of the "contenders" in the MAC West NIU has established itself as the likely team to beat in that division.
Buffalo 1 -1 UB looked solid against CMU but they let the Chips, for their first ever win at Mount Pleasant. Still they let Central Michigan hang around too long
Toledo 2 -1 The Rockets took care of their rival early in the season and the Toledo offense looked unstoppable.
Ohio 3 -1 Ohio snuck by Kent with a second half, nine point, comeback. It got the Bobcats onto a 1-0 start as they try to keep pace with Buffalo
Ball State 10 5 They gave the Huskies all they could handle, but lost. Despite some solid play this year they are 1-1 in conference & looking up at three teams undefeated in MAC play
WMU 9 3 Don't look now but WMU is 2-0 in conference and those first two losses this season don't look so bad now.
EMU 6 -1 Some years you just don't win the close games, and this seems to be one of those years for EMU. They are on a four game skid with an average differential of 3.5 points
Miami 7 -1 Miami's offense is on a tear, they have scored 119 points in their first three conference games of the season. The 2-1 MAC start is nice but the 0-3 OOC record hurts
CMU 8 -1 CMU's having a forgettable season, probably won't bowl, but they have been within on score against both NIU and Buffalo, so they are good enough to play spoiler
Akron 5 -5 That win over Northwestern seems really far in the past, doesn't it? The Zips have time to make this a solid season but they can't lay many more eggs.
Kent 11 0 The had Ohio on the ropes and let them get away, at 1-4 (going in) Kent could have used that win.
BGSU 12 0 Fewest points given up this season? 35 points to Eastern Kentucky.... The Bowling Green defense is just not getting it done this year.
