Last year, after losing to Albany and getting curb stomped by Nevada UB’s season saw a little sunshine when the Bulls came back and won in overtime against Army in week three.
Coming into the game the Black Knights were 3-0, beating Temple, Rice, and UTEP and they started the night by rolling all over the Bulls.
When it appeared the Bulls would fall one fourth-down stand short of pulling off the come-from-behind win as Army marched down the field following Jackson's game-tying touchdown, kicker Blake Wilson missed a 34-yard attempt with eight seconds to play.
In a way the Army game was Tyree Jackson’s coming out party. This season the Bulls come in with Jackson and his new favorite target, Anthony Johnson.
Army comes in after a 513 yard 64-6 win over Fordham in which they did not complete a single pass. Suffice it to say this game could be a real test for the UB defense.
Last week at this time I would have thought this game was a sure loss, but after seeing the defense come together and watching Anthony Johnson in action I’m moving Army from a sure loss to “winnablish”
