Logan Harasta, a Junior righty from Webster, was just picked up in the seventh round of this years Major league draft by the San Francisco Giants.
Harasta has been active on the Buffalo Bulls roster for three years before the team announced that they would not be fielding a baseball team after this season.
He was a partial starter in his freshman season, starting six games as one of the teams “mid week” pitchers. He also made nine appearances in relief. Overall pitched 41.1 innings and record and 28 strikeouts.
For the past two seasons he has been strictly a reliever, popping into 46 games and earning nine saves. This past season he threw an impressive 12.98 strikeouts per nine innings pitched.
If he takes up the Giants than he’s almost certainly headed to Scottsdale, Arizona to play for the “Arizona League Giants” who are the clubs rookie level team.
