Buffalo Bulls Down Delaware

Buffalo use 48 points from their guards, CJ Massinburg and Davonta Jordan, en route to a 75-72 victory over Delaware State.

The Bulls got out to a fast start. CJ Massinburg and Davonta Jordan opened the game up with three pointers, vaulting UB to an early 6-2 lead which would eventually be built up to 13-7 Before Delaware found their footing.

By the time it was 20-10 UB's guards, Massinburg and Jordan, had put up 17 of the Bulls' 20 points.

But Delaware fought back, Closing to 23-21 on a Ryan Daly three point jumper.

From that point on the two teams played tight the rest of the Half. Buffalo would not surrender the lead but several times the Blue Hens managed to get within a possession.

The Blue Hens started the second half strong. Cutting UB’s 38-32 half time lead down a scant 43-40 lead within the first four minutes of the half/. But as they did during the first half, UB pushed back after every Delaware surge.

After Delaware pulled to withing two points, at 45-43, UB went on a 10-3 run to go up nine points by the midway point of the half.

With 5:52 left UB built their lead up to 14 but Delaware had another good run in them.

UB went on a three minute drought and Delaware closed the gap to a 69-65 game. At 3:00 left UB got moving again and started to trade punches, holding out for the win.
