The Frederick Keys are Baltimore's "Class A-Advanced" farm club of the Baltimore Orioles. The Keys are named for Star Spangled Banner poet Francis Scott Key, a native of Frederick County. A new team mascot "Frank Key", short for Francis Scott Key, joined the current mascot, a coyote named Keyote, at the beginning of the 2011 baseball season.
Congrats to Mike and good luck this year in Frederick.
Steve Geltz - Geltz started the week getting roughed up a little bit.
G-Braves rally, but fall in extra innings | G-Braves | gwinnettdailypost.com
In the top of the eighth, with two outs and the bases empty, Steve Geltz entered out of the Durham bullpen. He struck out Aybar, but a passed ball off the mitt of Acosta allowed Aybar to reach first. A single by Bonifacio and a walk to Matt Tuiasosopo loaded the bases. Sean Kazmar, Jr. then pushed across Aybar with a bases-loaded walk to make it an 8-6 game.
But in his next two games he allowed no runs in 1.1 innings and earned a save.
Tom Murphy - Murphy's week in Alberqueque was quiet. He's hit a bit of a slump going one for his last 12 at bats.
Nick Sinay - Like Mike Burke Sinay did an extended stint at spring training though
