After a busy day in UB land, it's one of the greatest days of the year: Super Bowl Sunday.
The Rundown
Today in Bull: Wrestling will be heading to Central Michigan to take on the Chippewas; and Men's Tennis will be taking on Princeton.
Yesterday's News: Men's Basketball had a very nice win at home against Eastern Michigan, 80-70, led by a late charge sparked by Rodell Wigginton. Women's Basketball wasn't able to hold onto a late lead against Ball State and fell 59-57. Men's Tennis was unable to complete the comeback and fell to NJIT, 4-3. Swimming and Diving and Track and Field also competed yesterday and their recaps will be posted today.
On the Docket: The gamethread/preview for Wrestling vs. CMU will be posted later this morning so be sure to go there and chat during the match; CMU will also have free video so there's no excuse not to watch. We'll also have the aforementioned recaps of Track and Swimming. Matt and Robby will have takeaways from both Men's and Women's Hoops.
From the Fanshots: Former UB assistant coach Chris Cosh was named Defensive Coordinator at Richmond.
Elsewhere:
Cam Newton was named NFL MVP ahead of Super Bowl 50 today; other award winners from the NFL honors include JJ Watt for Defensive Player of the Year and Eric Berry for Comeback Player of the Year.
Beyonce also released a suprise single ahead of her performance at the Super Bowl this evening.
