Saturday Open Thread: Doubleheader day

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

Final Weekend before Fat Tuesday. I assume you're beginning your celebrations tonight.

The Rundown

Today in Bull: Track and Field is at the Akron Invite. Both Swimming and Diving teams host Cleveland State in Alumni Arena in their final competition before the MAC Championships. Men's Tennis is at NJIT at noon. Women's Basketball hosts MAC West power Ball State, and Men's Basketball Eastern Michigan in a home doubleheader.

Yesterday's News: Other than Buffalo, who are we rooting for in Men's Hoops tonight? Men's Soccer announced their five-man recruiting class. Women's Tennis got a nice, if thrilling, win over Duquesne. Robby put down a preview of EMU for this afternoon.

From the FanShots: TrueBlue is organizing a food drive over this week's trio of home basketball games. Former UB assistant Chris Cosh is the new defensive coordinator at Richmond.

On the Docket: Recaps for Track, SwimDive, Men's Tennis, and both basketball teams, of course. A gamethread for the basketball games. A piece on EMU star Raven Lee? Perhaps. A Swimdive recap from yesterday should already be up.

Elsewhere: I am particularly interested in how many points Julius Hodge has scored in other editions of these games:

Former Bull Deyshonee Much scored THIRTY against Canisius last night in a big Iona win. Way to go, Griffs.

So many other sports news. Louisville Basketball. No injuries in the Super Bowl Rosters. As I write this the USMNT is going against Canada in yet another edition of Jurgen Klinsmann Has No Concern For Positional Stability.
