Bull Rundown Daily Open Thread: First Day of Class Edition

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

It was an exciting day for NFL fans yesterday with Championship Sunday - and lets be honest, any day that Tom Brady is a loser is a good day. On the UB front two teams were in action yesterday and with classes starting up today True Blue will be back in full force at all upcoming events.

Today is also my last first day of classes before I graduate in May.

The Rundown

Tonight in Bull: Nothing!

Yesterday's News: Wrestling fell at home in a disappointing dual against Ohio, 31-7; Colt Cotten and Jake Gunning were the lone UB winners. Men's Tennis fared better and took down Ivy League member Brown, 4-3 with Akhil Mehta clinching the 4th point. Matt had takeaways from the Women's Basketball loss to Miami; while Matt and Robby had takeaways from Men's Basketball's loss to Western MichiganFootball got a new commitment from Minnesota lineman Kayode AwosikaMen's Basketball vs. Ohio was moved to ESPNU and will take place Friday February 12th at 7 PM.

From the Fanshots: We found that former UB Women's Basketball coach Linda Hill-MacDonald has been coaching at Fredonia State. The MAC suspended the two officials that were part of the atrocious ending to the EMU-Ball State game.

On the Docket: There will likely be a preview for Men's Hoops's game against Ball State that will take place on Tuesday. There will also likely be another recruiting piece on one of the verbal commits as we inch closer to NSD.

Elsewhere:

A proposal has been made to temporarily shut off Niagara Falls on the American side; the goal of the shut off would be to replace two 115 year old bridges that are connected to Goat Island. If the shut off were to take place it would be the first time since 1969 that the Falls have been shut off.

I can't really find anything else so here's a video of animals close up with a wide angle lens.
