Bull Rundown Daily Open Thread: We have Pandas

Happy Sunday, Bull Run readers! Today is conference championship day in the NFL and we've got a few UB squads in action as well.

The Rundown

Tonight in Bull: Wrestling will take on nationally ranked Ohio at home at 2 PM in Alumni Arena, the match will be broadcast on ESPN 3. Men's Tennis will also be in action, taking on Brown on the road.

Yesterday's News: Men's Basketball couldn't stop a red-hot shooting Western Michigan and fell 91-71 to the Broncos. Women's Basketball shot just 25 percent from the field and made more free throws than they did field goals in a 69-58 loss to Miami. Women's Tennis opened up their season with a clean 7-0 shutout of St. Francis. Track and Field sent a muted contingent to Cornell to compete in the Upstate Invite and had strong performances from the men's sprinters and women's jumpers. Last, but certainly not least, Women's Swimming and Diving cruised to a 185-112 victory over Ohio.

From the Fanshots: Former UB pitcher Steve Geltz was signed by the Atlanta Braves to a two year 6.8 million dollar deal. Former Men's Basketball player Mory Diane has transferred to D-II Ferris State. Former UB Football coach Danny Barrett has been hired by Adam Gase as the Miami Dolphins' new running backs coach.

On the Docket: I'll have a preview/gamethread for Wrestling so be sure to head there and chat during the match; I'll also have a match recap after the match is over. Matt will also have a recap of Men's Tennis once they've finished their match against Brown. Matt and Robby will also likely have takeaways from yesterday's Men's Basketball loss.

Elsewhere: John is better at thinking of stuff/finding stuff than I am, and there's usually a little more going on during the week. Plans have been announced to once again dam up the American Falls in the next two years, though. That's cool!
