Bull Rundown Daily Open Thread: 1/13/2016

For students, today's another day of winter break, but for the rest of us the most redeeming quality of Wednesdays is that they're not Mondays or Tuesdays. Join us and chat about whatever you want in the comments.

The Rundown

Tonight

More Basketball! Sitting on a two game win streak, Women's Hoops is in Muncie for a game against Ball State and their superstar Nathalie Fontaine. It will be a tough one for the Bulls, who absolutely cannot afford the low post foul trouble from Kent State, but last year against Fontaine and the Cardinals UB put together their finest defensive showing of the year.

Side note: I am several years behind the times and have just started watching Parks and Rec in the last two months. It cracks me up that Muncie is held up in that show like a Place To Be Where Things Happen.

Yesterday's News

The men lost a road game to EMU, who, I'll say it, are a MAC final threat for sure even if last night was more bad UB than good EMU.

From the Fanshots

UB swept the first MAC Men's Track and Field athletes of the week as Brian Crimmins and Ryan Cribbin combined for three victories and two MAC-leading marks in the opening weekend.

Wrestling's Colt Cotten is pretty swell, and you should get to know him.

On the Docket

We've got takeaways from last night's men's game and a preview/gamethread for the women in Muncie coming your way sometime today.

Elsewhere

The St Louis Rams are headed to LA and BO and the Chargers are likely not far behind. The Chargers have until 1/15/2017 to decide if they'll join the Rams in Inglewood. This means that Khalil Mack's Raiders are staying put in the Bay Area.

UB professor is capitalizing on Powerball mania by reminding us just how ridiculous the odds are.
