Drew Willy - Winnipeg

First. How cool is this image.

Ok back to Willypeg. The offense did not show too much this preseason and against Hamilton the starters managed just 7 points in almost three quarters of work.

Good news & bad news for Bombers | Blue Bombers | Sports | Winnipeg Sun
Bombers starting quarterback Drew Willy had his moments on Friday night in front of 24,344 spectators at Investors Group Field, but he made a couple of bad decisions against a Tiger-Cats defence that was missing several of its starters. Willy and the projected starting offence played the entire first half and part of the third, but they managed just seven points.

Naaman Roosevelt - Saskatchewan

I was very surprised that Naaman Roosevelt was cut by the Riders but given that it's his first time playing by CFL rules and his status as an "import" I should have expected him to face a challenge walking on.

Roosevelt was an exciting player in camp but his numbers during two preseason games (4 receptions for 38 yards) did not get him over the hump and onto the roster.

On the other hand he did get assigned to the Riders practice squad.

There is also the possibility that he will be picked up by another CFL team.

Ernest Jackson - Ottawa

The Expansion "REDBLACKS" are looking for some offense after an initial season in which they were the least potent offense. So they hit free agency hard.

After a disappointing inaugural season, Redblacks look for respectability - Winnipeg Free Press
After finishing as the lowest scoring team in the league at 15.4 points per game, Redblacks general manager Marcel Desjardins went out and signed some of the most sought after free agents. The addition of receivers Maurice Price, Ernest Jackson, Greg Ellingson, Brad Sinopoli and Chris Williams give the Redblacks instant credibility and should help spark a struggling offence.

Natey Adjei - Toronto

Adjei was selected by the Toronto Argonauts in the third round (22nd overall) of the 2013 Canadian Football League Draft. After playing for Buffalo in 2013 he signed with the Argos. Last season he saw limited action, pulling in 5 receptions for 61 yards.

This preseason Adjei pulled in four receptions for 49 yards.

Jake Silas - Ottawa

Silas played well enough in two games to have earned a spot on Ottawa's practice squad.

This means he on the short list of guys who Ottawa will call up if any of their linemen struggle or are injured this season.
