Introducing the (First Annual) Bull Run Awards

UB had their awards show before the school year ended, but before all the year's competitions were actually over.

UB Athletics

Ten months ago we set out to for the first time in Bull Run's history cover every competition of every team in 2014-15. For years, the blog has been a great resource for Football and Basketball info, and this year we expanded it to everything. Short of a few baseball games and the end of the rowing season, we managed to meet our goal, too.

A fun end result of that is we really know our stuff rather than just having to look at stats pages. So we're introducing for the first time the Bull Run Awards. UB themselves did something similar, but it was before all the competitions were done for the year, and we had a hunch there'd be a decent Buffalo showing at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

We don't have trophies or plaques or even a fun little photoshop image because we didn't tell Tim quite what we were up to, but hopefully it's a fun way to look back on the year and start to get excited for 2015-16 - it's only 52 days to the first preseason soccer game.

Criteria were... well we didn't have much in the way of set criteria. We just talked it out, since it was just the two of us. We'll obviously explain our decisions in the posts and defend them in the comments.
