Will Malcolm Robinson make more spectacular catches in 2015?

espn.com

Who is wearing #80 in 2015?

Malcolm Robinson

Hometown: Canton, Ohio

Year: Redshirt Junior

Position: Wide Receiver

High School: Canton McKinley

Freshman (2012): Robinson Redshirted

Redshirt Freshman (2013): Robinson played in 3 games, recording his first reception from Tony Daniel late in the blowout against WMU.

Redshirt Sophomore (2014): Robinson played in 10 games, with 3 receptions for 31 yards and 2 TDs including his highlight reel catch against Baylor.

Overall: 13 games, 4 receptions, 39 yards, 2 TDs. Robinson has never caught two balls in a game.

Outlook: Robinson has only caught one pass from Joe Licata, (a six yard TD pass against CMU), but his athleticism is something that UB hasn't seen at the position since Naaman Roosevelt. He will be one of many receivers in the fight this summer for playing time.

#80 UB Football Game

October 20, 2007 - UB 12, Syracuse 20

Despite 359 yards of total offense, UB couldn't finish in the red zone, kicking field goals from the 16, 15, 14 and 12 yard lines to score 12 points. After Syracuse broke a 3-3 tie with a TD, Terrell Jackson fumbled the ensuing kickoff. On 3rd and 10 from the 11, Buffalo native Mike Williams scored what proved to be the winning touchdown.

Williams who claimed he wanted to be a Bull but was not recruited by then coach Hofher, got his revenge. Williams caught 7 of 10 targets, for 113 yards an the touchdown. Five of Williams' catches moved the chains for a first down, which helped keep UB's offense off the field and out of rhythm.

A win in Syracuse could have been a major turning point for the Bulls. UB would have been 6-6, Syracuse would have finished the season 1-11. Ironically, Buffalo's coup of the Empire State's football crown was defeated by a Buffalonian.
