Where Jeff Quinn is headed, he's gonna be a little bit of a drive from any good fishing spots.
But the other three 'F's in his much-repeated mantra - and his checkbook - are likely satisfied with the move to Notre Dame to once again work under Brian Kelly.
This Chicago Tribune is reporting that Quinn will be hired at Notre Dame to replace Matt LaFleur, who went to the Falcons. Unlike the rumours of a year ago, the former Buffalo head coach would not be stepping into his old role on Kelly's staff, but rather as Quarterbacks Coach.
Other than the oversight that comes in the Offensive Coordinator position, Quinn has never coached quarterbacks, also specializing in the offensive line in previous stops at Cincinnati, Central Michigan, and Grand Valley State.
Of course, Quinn is not the highest-profile name tied to the Notre Dame staff, as days ago we heard reports that former Ball State and Michigan coach Brady Hoke was also on his way.
Quinn has a 21-37 career record, 20-36 in Buffalo, and was dismissed from his position with the Bulls after a 3-4 start and a loss to Eastern Michigan this past October.
