The last weekend of NECHL action set the field for this weekends NECHL Championship tournament in Syracuse, New York.
The Bulls fell one point short of Syracuse and that lands them as the number three seed, which earns them a draw in the quarterfinals. The top two seeds will wait for teams 3-6 to play their way into the semis.
Buffalo will square off against Oswego and RIT will play Cortland. The winners of those two games will be reseeded against Niagara and Syracuse.
Buffalo played Oswego to two tight 3-2 wins this season and RIT lost a one goal decision to Cortland. The first round games being played this Friday at the Onondaga Nation Arena could make for some exciting hockey.
If the Bulls win their game they will go on to play Syracuse and the winner of the other quarterfinal game will face Niagara.
