Must Reads
The Academic All-America Team is a list generated by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The program recognizes combined athletic and academic excellence of the nation's top student-athletes.
"This means a lot," Weiser said. "Growing up, my parents really stressed the importance of school with sports. They were always stricter on me than the school was. To be able to get a degree from UB; to be able to play football here and now receive this, it's a blessing and an honor that all the hard work is paying off." -- ubbulls.com
Weiser, a communication major with a 3.49 grade point average, had a breakout season for the Bulls. The Womelsdorf, PA native was second in the nation in receptions and yardage. He had had 63 receptions for 625 yards and three touchdowns on the season. Those numbers were the best ever for receptions and receiving yards by a tight end.
