For the first time in his head coaching career Lance Leipold will go into a game week with a losing record. His 2-3 Buffalo Bulls will head to Mount Pleasant Michigan, where they have never won, to play the Central Michigan Chippewas.
It's not that UB has been terrible in their past two losses. Losing to Nevada and Bowling Green by a total of 9 points. But a loss is a loss so the Bulls are behind the eight ball if they would like Leipol's first year in Division one to end with a bowl game.
There opponents, Central Michigan, has seen both emotional highs and lows in recent weeks. CMU knocked off Northern Illinois two weeks ago and then lost on the road to rival Western Michigan. Like Buffalo the Chippewas find themselves with a losing record and a hard road to Bowl eligibility.
