Opponent Result Record Conference Record
Albany L 39 - 7 vs Maine 2-4 CAA 1-2

Albany continues to stink in a big way. And I could not be happier!

UAlbany football routed again - College Sports
Maine scored three touchdowns in the opening 10 minutes, 17 seconds and sent UAlbany to its second straight blowout loss, 39-7 at Casey Stadium this afternoon.

Penn State W 29 - 7 vs Indiana 5-1 B1G 2-0

Penn State is looking less and less like a game we should be pissed about losing and more and more like a merely a lost opportunity to beat a decent B1G team.

On to Columbus: Penn State 29, Indiana 7 - Black Shoe Diaries
The offense came alive just enough later in that second quarter to put this one out of reach for an Indiana team already playing without its top quarterback and running back--and then forced to rely on its third string quarterback once Zander Diamont was knocked out. Diamont, despite his spunk and fearlessness, was no match for Penn State's front-four--especially once they could pin their ears back and come after him--but a redshirt freshman like Danny Cameron had no chance. By the time this one devolved into a puntfest in the second half--the third quarter featured 7 punts and no first downs--this game was already over.

Florida Atlantic L 27 - 26 vs Rice 1-4 CUSA 1-1

Losing close games is hard, I feel for FAU.

Rice vs. Florida Atlantic - Game Recap - October 10, 2015 - ESPN
Driphus Jackson led the game-winning 83-yard drive, and the Rice defense stopped Florida Atlantic in the final minute to clinch a 27-26 comeback win on Saturday.

Nevada W 35 - 17 vs New Mexico 3-3 MWC 1-1

Nevada Recovers after losing to UNLV last week.

Highlights of Nevada's win over New Mexico - Mountain West Connection
Nevada got past New Mexico Saturday evening, see how they did it.

Bowling Green W 62 - 38 vs UMass 4-2 MAC 2-0

UB Slowed down Falcon Fast but UMass had no answer as BGSU piled up 62 points!

FalconBlog--Triumphs and Trials in the BGSU Falcon Nation: Sweet Victory #4: Recap
There's lots more to come...was this the game between game 4 and 6 when the offense finally got it?  They certainly had a record-setting day.  Anyway, slice it how you like BG got a comfortable win at home that they need.  With Akron, OU, and Toledo, WMU and Ball State lying ahead, BG has a lot of tough games ahead that they are going to need and this was one you had to have you and you got.

CMU L 41 - 39 at WMU 2-4 MAC 1-1

Our next opponent lost to a hated rival this week. That means against Buffalo they will either come out flying or they will be broken. Here is hoping for the latter.

Central Michigan Chippewas vs Western Michigan Broncos final: Broncos hold off comeback, beat Chippewas for fourth time in five years in 41-39 win - Hustle Belt
The Western Michigan Broncos took home their fourth Victory Cannon trophy in five years in a thrilling 41-39 victory over rival Central Michigan on Saturday. Zach Terrell led the Broncos to victory with four touchdown passes, including three to Daniel Braverman.

Ohio W 34 - 3 vs Miami 5-1 MAC 2-0

The Kittens are looking like big cats this year. Someone ** COUGH ** Conrad ** COUGH ** thinks they might be the class of the MAC. Agree or not they are clearly right up there with Bowling Green in the East. They have a very nicely balanced offense and that helps as the North East winter starts setting in.

Miami RedHawks vs. Ohio Bobcats football recap: 'Cats victor in Battle of the Bricks 34-3 - Hustle Belt
A balanced offensive attack was secondary to a motivated Ohio defense who made the RedHawks offense look silly once more this year. Coach Frank Solich's crew relied on a defense that set the tone from the beginning and never allowed the RedHawks offense to sniff anything resembling a rhythm. Seriously, Coach Chuck Martin has to be tearing his hair out after this one.

Miami L 34 - 3 at Ohio 1-4 MAC 0-1
See Above: Miami is just as bad this season as last season. It's not like the losses look any "better".
Kent L 38 - 7 at Toledo 2-4 MAC 1-1

Kent took one on the chin from Toledo as the Rockets hope to move their rankings up from #24 into the very low 20's or high teens.

Kent State Golden Flashes vs. No. 24 Toledo Rockets football recap: Rockets roll 38-7 - Hustle Belt
Toledo’s defense stood tall while Kent State’s fell flat. The No. 24 Rockets (5-0, 2-0 MAC) breezed through the football game Saturday afternoon with a 38-7 victory in the battle of the MAC’s top ranked defenses. Kent State falls to (2-4, 1-1 MAC) on the season.

NIU W 59 - 41 vs Ball State 3-3 MAC 1-1

Two things to note - First NIU seems to have found their offense, this might shake things up in the MAC West because of CMU's loss. Second it looks like Ball State is getting it together as 41 points on NIU is not to shabby.

Ball State Cardinals vs. Northern Illinois Huskies football recap: Huskies surge to 59-41 victory - Hustle Belt
During their three game losing streak to Ohio State, Boston College, and Central Michigan, the Northern Illinois Huskies offense posted a total of 46 points. Turns out the best remedy for a struggling offense is some home cooking. 92 plays, 636 yards, and a 59-41 victory later, the Huskies were able to put to bed any worries about the offense, at least for a week

Akron W 47 - 21 at EMU 3-3 MAC 1-1

The Zips more than double up EMU as they put on an offensive clinic in "The Factory"

Akron Zips vs. Eastern Michigan Eagles football recap: Zips with 500 yards on offense, win 47-21 - Hustle Belt
Oh you know, just another day at The Factory. The Akron Zips (3-3, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) took advantage of a fumble on a kickoff in the first quarter, got off to a 14-0 lead and the rest of it was Eastern Michigan (1-5, 0-1 MAC) losing another home game and playing down to the meme that everybody holds them to.

UMass L 62 - 38 at BGSU 1-3 MAC 0-0

See Above - Hard to get a handle on what this game tells us about UMass. They scored nearly 40 on Bowling Green but most teams do that. Defensively they looked terrible against Bowling Green but most teams do that.

How they deal with Kent next week may paint a better picture.
